We love our time at the North American Academy of Piping and Drumming in Valle Crucis, NC. Sandy Jones is a very special man, his entire family is. He has run this lovely piping and drumming school for a very long time and we are very grateful that for the past 4 summers, one or more of us as been given the opportunity (through scholarships of generous supporters of the Scottish arts) to go to this school. The beauty of the mountains, the people, the music and the shared memories make NAAPD a very special place for our family and children.

Nina and I attended one week together and Noah and Gus went a separate week with their buddy, Knox. And then we competed at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games after the boys finished camp.
