Recent Piping & Fundraising

Spring 2023 has been very busy for our family with piping & drumming. The kids participated in Wreath’s Across America again – always a moving service. We played at the Camden Irish Festival, for St Patrick’s Day Events and for an Easter Sunrise Service for a church at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. I led the Loch Norman Highland Games Piping & Drumming Contest along with a group of amazing volunteers (most of my family) and great judges (also the Jimmy McIntosh Open Contest).  Luca played for a local TV spot. It was a beautiful day and things ran very smoothly. The kids competed in solos as well as with their band. I competed with my band as well. I’ve played a couple of funerals. And we continue to rehearse each month for our Queen City United Band as we prepare to travel to Scotland for the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow in August. Fundraising Page is Here! Three of our five children are competing and raising money for their travel and stay. We hope to get this fully funded for them. I am also playing with them and our family will be traveling after we compete to enjoy the beautiful sights of Scotland.

Enjoy the photos!

POST COVID update

A lot did not happen for about two years (March 2020 through July 2021) due to the Global Covid-19 Pandemic. Slowly, slowly (catch a monkey) things are happening again. It all started back up in the fall of 2021. Below is a conglomerate of games in the Southeast and gigs involving all of us!

2021 notes

*Luca got his first “piper of the day” and first prize, and moved up to Grade 4 Jr for 2022

*Courtney moved up to Grade 3 for 2022

*Noah, Courtney, Luca were all 3 “Pipers of the Day” at Stone Mt. Highland Games
