Medelssohn’s Scottish Wedding, Nancy Tunnicliffe at Charlotte Symphony

We went to see the Mendelssohn’s Scottish Wedding by the Charlotte Symphony in November for the open dress rehearsal with my mother. Nancy Tunnicliffe played a small portion of Orkney Wedding on the pipes as she walked down the aisle. It was neat to see the bagpipes in this setting with an orchestra for the first time. And we had front row seats and got to talk to her afterwards, she was very encouraging and kind.  Gus wore his kilt. The kids brought their notebooks and drew the scenes from the symphony, very educational.
