June 27, 2016 Noah and I started our first private lessons with Andrea in her home. Noah got a piece to play for a solo competition. And she explained to me which tunes to memorized and play on the pipes sot hat I could play with the juvenile band. And in one month I could start working on a solo competition piece also for Grade 4 Senior competition. I would probably compete in that in about a year. YIPPEEEE!!! Mom almost on pipes
May 5, 2016 after starting on practice chanter Jan 1, 2016, Andrea said if I can memorized Amazing Grace (which I already had) and High Road to Gairloch, she’d let me borrow a set of pipes from the band. I think I had these to memorized fairly well already, so I started to work on Brown Haired Maiden, Minstrel Boy and Scotland the Brave. Hopefully next week I’ll have pipes to blow into!
