Today I ordered a set of pipes from Roddy MacClellan who lives right down the road in Waxhaw/Monroe, NC. $1400, Africa Blackwood, no extra ornamental things on, just plain pretty wood, Chalice Top. I’m soooo excited! I’ve been playing with the juvenile band and can keep up with them ok. I just got the third drone turned on. I try to practice about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours most days and mostly on pipes.

For the Juvenile band, I currently have a van full of boys. Henry Dirks, Walker and Wyatt Andrews, Noah and Gus, all in our neighborhood. I start at the Andrews, then drive to the Dirks and have all the boys for the ride to band rehearsal and I’m not sure which is louder…a van full of rowdy boys or playing in the room with the band!
